For those of you who weren’t aware, we just got news that the upcoming Wale x Saucony Grid 9000 Penn Relays collaboration has been shut down. In other words, the shoe has been cancelled. But why?
Word has it, that there was a legal dispute with the University of Pennsylvania regarding the similarity of the logo placed on the pull tab of the tongue. The logo is said to be too similar to the school’s logo, and if you take a close look at the shoe it’s easy to see the resemblance. With that being the case, the shoe will no longer be sold or distributed in any way, shape, or form. Are you sad to hear the news? Were you looking forward to picking up a pair? Let us know what you think about this cancellation in the comments below.
