The upcoming Air Max 90 ‘City Pack’ collection will include a special Air mAX 90 which represents Tokyo and pays tribute to its construction workers.
This blue-collar edition of the Air Max 90 recognizes diligent construction workers throughout the bustling metropolis of Tokyo. The shoe’s textile upper nods to the tobi pants frequently worn by workers, while its mudguard offers a warning often seen on signs in Japan: “Safety first.” On the laces, bronzed eyelets wear away with use like construction tools. Asymmetrical graphics on the outside of each tongue reference signs from job sites, while embroidery on the inside marks the style as a tribute to Tokyo.
