The Summer Olympics will be returning in 2016 and this year they’ll be taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Nike has big plans for the Summer as they’re expected to release lots of different Olympic-themed sneakers, old and new.
One of the those old sneakers that will be making a comeback for the Olympic season is the Nike Air More Uptempo whic currently celebrating its 20th anniversary. With the White/Varsity Red colorway already arriving at select retailers and the OG Black/White pair scheduled to get a wider nike.com release next week, we can now add the Olympic colorway to the list. This Nike Air More Uptempo features a Midnight Navy upper with contrasting White on the AIR branding and Sport Red on the Nike branding on the tongue. The number 8, which was Pippen’s Olympic number, is outlined in gold on the heel to complete the Olympic theme.
The Nike Air More Uptempo Olympic 2016 version is currently scheduled to release on July 4, 2016. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

Olympic colorway sneakers are always cool to see because the combination of red, white and blue looks good most of the time. The touches of gold are also a nice finishing touch. I have a feeling lots of people will be looking forward to this classic colorway of the Air More Uptempo.
