With classic running silhouettes currently a popular option, the adidas Originals Country OG has been revived from the brand’s historic archives.
Initially debuting in the ’70s, the low-top silhouette is treated with a more modern and stylish appeal for S/S 2016. Vintage white dominates its nylon composition, while slightly off-white suede overlays adorn the toe, eye stays and heel counter. Tonal leather elements are applied on the three stripe motif on its side panels and heel tab for more premium flair.
Further pronounced with gold branding on the tongue, the runner is finished off with a crisp, white midsole unit and versatile gum outsole.
You can purchase this pair at select adidas retailers overseas now, while a stateside release is imminent.
I’m just biased towards runners, especially in clean colorways. You can’t go wrong with this pair. It’s definitely stylish and appealing. The only downside is keeping it clean.
