With 2016 marking as the 100 year anniversary of the Copa America tournament, Packer Shoes has joined forces with legendary soccer brand, Umbro, for a special capsule inspired by this year’s host country, the USA — the first time that the tournament has ever been held on American soil.
Specifically highlighting its footwear option, the Umbro Linesman Trainer is utilized. Extremely limited to only 30 pairs worldwide, each COPA 100 shoe has been handmade in Portugal using ultra premium full grain leather and buttery suede combined with a made in Italy XL EXTRALIGHT outsole unit. This silhouette is essentially one of the most luxurious and limited soccer-inspired lifestyle footwear offerings ever.
To encapsulate its USA-inspired theme, red and blue accents are prominent on the rear, while it’s outfitted with a crisp white sole unit. In addition, stars are debossed on the tongue flaps, alongside 13 perforated stripes on the lateral sides.
Retailing for $175, the silhouette will also be equipped with a dust bag and special packaging.
Look for it top drop at PS this Saturday, June 11th. Sizes 7.5 – 13 will be available only and please note that this shoe runs big, so it’s recommended to go a half size down.
I’m a fan of the design and the colorway looks solid. The theme is a cool homage as well and given its limited edition status, these will surely be sought after.
