The Grateful Dead x Nike SB Dunk Low “Orange Bear” debuted exclusively at FTC Skateboarding in San Francisco earlier this month, however, official imagery of the silhouette have just surfaced, indicating an impending wider release. This collaborative SB Dunk Low pays homage to the Grateful Dead Bears — a series of stylized dancing bears drawn by Bob Thomas as part of the back cover for the 1973 album, History of the Grateful Dead, Volume One (Bear’s Choice).
Donning fuzzy, faux fur uppers with suede overlays, the low-top model is detailed with a green jagged Swoosh as a nod to the bear’s jester collars, with more green appearing on the branded areas and outsole. Finishing touches include special bear tongue branding, and a stash pocket behind the tongue to store your special belongings.
