Nike has officially introduced their latest iteration of their current AlphaFly models, the Nike Air ZoomX AlphaFly Next Nature. What makes this model special and unique? It comes equipped with at least 50% recycled material by weight, making it Nike’s most sustainably-minded performance shoe to date.
Details on the Nike Air ZoomX AlphaFly Next Nature include a redesigned upper constructed with both Nike Flyprint, a 3D printed textiles made with at least 20% recycled TPU, and Nike Flyknit made with at least 45% recycled polyester. The ZoomX midsole is made with at least 70% recycled foam; Nike Air Zoom Pods made partially with recycled TPU; and a propulsive, yet stiff Flyplate made with at least 50% recycled carbon fiber. Finishing off the design is its Nike Grind Rubber outsole that comes with optimal traction patterns driven by data, while both the laces and sockliner are made with 100% recycled materials.
