WWE fans, feast your eyes on the brand new Walemania capsule collection. Earlier today Foot Locker announced their partnership with Wale for the seventh annual WaleMania – a one-of-a-kind event that merges the worlds of music and sports entertainment.
Just in time for WrestleMania 37, Wale just dropped a capsule collection on with Footlocker to coincide with the rapper’s 7th annual party, WaleMania — which brings together lovers of hip-hop and the world of wrestling.
This year Foot Locker and Wale are introducing “Be The Fan You Are,” a platform that celebrates the many passions of WWE fans while merging music, sports entertainment, and sneaker cultures. The first capsule collection designed by Wale for WaleMania just dropped. It includes an assortment of apparel with each piece honoring the rich history of some of the greatest Black WWE Champions to grace the wrestling ring. Some of the champions being honored include Mark Henry, Kofi Kingston, Sasha Banks and Booker T.
This will be the first of a six-part capsule launching under the “Be The Fan You Are” platform. For each of the following collections over the next year, Wale will work with different collaborators to showcase the diversity of what it means to be a fan.
The additional capsules will roll out as follows:
- Kazeem Famuyide x Wale – July 2021
- Dan ‘Mache’ Gamache x Wale – August 2021
- Jeff Hardy x Wale – November 2021
- Alexander-John x Wale – January 2022
- Wale for WaleMania – April 2022
“For the past seven years, I have always looked forward to having WaleMania during Wrestlemania weekend as I am a lifelong fan of the WWE,” says Wale. “With this partnership with Footaction and Foot Locker, I’m hoping these capsule collections we create give everyone a piece of WaleMania wherever they go, all year round. WaleMania is a celebration of the culture and there is no standardized way to be a fan, which is something I want our supporters to feel all day, everyday.”
