The atmos x Nike Air Max 1 Elephant is set to return next year, as the model won the recent “Vote Back” campaign, which essentially allows fans to vote and bring back one iconic Air Max silhouette from the past 29 years.
During a recent interview with Hypebeast, atmos head designer, Koji shared his thoughts of possibly tweaking the original 2016 design.
Have you considered updating the shoe with new colors or new materials?
As I said, it will be released next year. It would be very interesting if I could change some design or materials for the new Air Max 1 “Elephant” 2017 ver. I’m not sure it would be approved but I’m curious… (laughs)
Fans can look forward for the release during next year’s Air Max Day.
